CAMPS at AGAWAM

For more than 40 years, Agawam has offered summer Camps for its youngest members and their friends rising into first through tenth grades.  Regardless of age, each Agawam camp week is filled with summer fun, sun, and exertion on our 130-acre property. With a thoughtful approach to structuring campers’ days, activities, professional instruction, courses, and courts are tailored to each child’s age and ability.  All campers benefit from cooling off in our heated pool and satisfying their appetite with a healthy meal at our Lunch Box cafe.

Three-Day and Week-long summer camps at Agawam include Camp Agawam (described below) for children Grades 1st to 6th and, for children grades 5th to 10th, Racquets AcademyRacquets & Golf Sports Academy, and Junior Golf Development Camp. Camps are offered for both members and non-members.

CAMP AGAWAM

In partnership with Lincoln School, we are pleased to offer Camp Agawam which is geared towards boys and girls rising into 1st through 6th Grade. Children are grouped by grades 1-3 and 4-6, or according to skill level.

For the Summer of 2024, Camp Agawam will be offered the weeks starting June 17, June 24, July 8,  July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12 and August 19. Camp Agawam runs from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily.  For parents needing a later pickup, we have an extended day option ending at 5:30 p.m.

Agawam reserves the right to cancel camp days or partial days with one-day advance notice if rain forecast will require us to remain inside for most of the day.

Camp Agawam will feature an hour each day at the racquets facilities, golf course, pool, and lawn. Each destination will provide fun activities for the campers. With racquets skills sessions, putting contests, pool games, crafts, and more, the campers will be able to enjoy every aspect the Club has to offer.  Children are encouraged to bring their own racquet and clubs, but can be provided with  junior clubs and racquets as needed.

In the morning, campers rotate into different clinics led by Agawam’s professional golf and racquets staff. With our Racquets Professional, Dustin Goldenberg, campers learn and improve upon essential racquets skills in a format that mixes conditioning, drills, and games. Our racquets program includes tennis, squash, and pickleball, so each camper is sure to find a sport they like.

Over on the golf course, counselors and golf staff will lead children on a number of games and lessons that teach everything from hand-eye coordination to traditional golf etiquette and rules. While the campers will be enjoying time on the course with our staff, if your child is interested in a more hands-on and golf-focused camp, the Racquets Academy with Golf option or Agawam Junior Golf Development Camp may be better suited for your little athlete.

Between and after clinics, campers have the opportunity to enjoy the sun-soaked pool and other fun and creative activities led by our counselor team. From karaoke to beaded jewelry making, and wiffleball on the lawn, campers will be sure to enjoy every inch of the Club. Camp Agawam staff and counselors have the expertise and flexibility to tailor each week's program to campers' ages and interests.

Lunch is included in all camps at Agawam. Each day, campers get to choose a delicious meal that is served out of our Lunch Box cafe.
