For more than 40 years, Agawam has offered summer Camps for its youngest members and their friends rising into first through twelfth grades.  Regardless of age, each Agawam camp week is filled with summer fun, sun, and exertion on our 130 acre property. With a thoughtful approach to structuring campers’ days, activities, professional instruction, courses and courts are tailored to each child’s age and ability.  All campers benefit from cooling off in our heated pool and satisfying their appetite with a healthy meal at our Lunch Box cafe. Sporting programs in Camp Agawam are complimented with creative STEAM activities led by Lincoln School’s experienced counsellors.

Week long summer camps at Agawam include Camp Agawam  & Racquets Academy (both described below on this page), Nike Tennis Camps (For Adults and Children), and Junior Golf Camp. Camps are offered for both members and non-members.

Camp Agawam is geared towards children rising into 1st through 6th Grade. Children are grouped by grades 1-3 and 4-6, or according to skill level. For Summer of 2019, Camp Agawam will be offered the weeks of June 17, June 24, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12, August 19 and August 26.

Racquets Academy emphasizes tennis, squash and pickleball. No racquet will be left unturned! This camp is geared for children rising into 5th to 9th grade. For Summer 2019, Racquets Academy is offered by the weeks of June 17, June 24, August 12, 19 and 26.

Camp Agawam runs from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily.  In the

morning, campers rotate into different clinics led by Agawam’s professional golf and racquets staff.  With our Racquets

Professional, Dana Parziale, campers learn and improve

upon essential  racquets skills in a format that mixes

conditioning, drills and games with top-notch instruction.

Our racquets program includes tennis, squash and pickleball,

so each camper is sure to find a sport he/she likes.

In addition to taking a spin on the golf carts, on the golf course children get plenty of time to work on chipping, putting and

driving with instruction from our seasoned golf professionals.

As with all sporting at Agawam, our intention is to help

children find the joy in sport with a friendly and fun

approach to learning and tuning skills.

Between and after clinics, campers have the opportunity to enjoy our sun-soaked pool and other fun and creative STEAM activities led by professional counselors from Lincoln School.  Recent campers have: built and tested boats in the pool, created comic books and graphic novels, made tie-dyed clothing and learned a variety of ways to

craft friendship bracelets. When time and interest permit, the professional chefs at Agawam have led the campers in cooking

clinics where they’ve made pizza, pies and smoothies from

scratch. In short, Camp Agawam staff and councilors have

the expertise and flexibility to tailor each week's program

to campers' ages and interests.

Our high-energy racquets camp, taught by USTPA certified instructors and counselors will help get campers' tennis play to the next level.  Throughout the day, campers will be alternating sport-specific racquet drills, agility and footwork drills and match play aimed at improved court-movement and general motor skills.

Unique to Agawam is the ability to hone tennis skills on three different surfaces: hard courts (indoors), clay courts (Har-Tru) and our 10 grass courts!

At Noon, campers will enjoy a balanced and healthy lunch prepared by Agawam’s chefs and enjoy a relaxing and refreshing pool break.

In the afternoon, all campers will participate in a team sport in the racquet sport of the day.  Match play is aimed at creating camaraderie among peers and to reinforcing inclusiveness and participation for all. All matches will be supervised by an instructor to provide feedback on game play.

On Friday, all of the campers will participate in a Racketlon, a fun, day-long competition where everyone will get a chance to showcase their improved racquets skills while challenging their peers to claim the Racketlon title!
