For more than 40 years, Agawam has offered summer Camps for its youngest members and their friends rising into first through tenth grades.  Regardless of age, each Agawam camp week is filled with summer fun, sun, and exertion on our 130 acre property. With a thoughtful approach to structuring campers’ days, activities, professional instruction, courses and courts are tailored to each child’s age and ability.  All campers benefit from cooling off in our heated pool and satisfying their appetite with a healthy meal at our Lunch Box cafe.

Week long summer camps at Agawam include Racquets Academy (described below) , Camp Agawam  & and Junior Golf Development Camp. Camps are offered for both members and non-members.

Racquets Academy emphasizes tennis, squash and pickleball. No racquet will be left unturned! This camp is geared towards children rising into 5th to 10th grade but we do accept other age ranges by request (if you have a child who is already an experienced racquets player but outside the age range we would be happy to have them join us for a week of camp!)

For Summer 2020, Racquets Academy is offered by the weeks of June 14, June 21, June 28, July 19,  July 26, August 2, August 9, August 16 and August 23. Racquets Academy runs daily from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Our high-energy racquets camp, taught by USPTA certified instructors and counselors will help get campers' tennis play to the next level.  Throughout the day, campers will be alternating sport-specific racquet drills, agility and footwork drills and match play aimed at improved court-movement and general motor skills.

Unique to Agawam is the ability to hone tennis skills on three different surfaces: hard courts (indoors), clay courts (Har-Tru) and our 10 grass courts!

At Noon, campers will enjoy a balanced and healthy lunch prepared by Agawam’s chefs and enjoy a relaxing and refreshing pool break.

In the afternoon, all campers will participate in a team sport in the racquet sport of the day.  Match play is aimed at creating camaraderie among peers and to reinforcing inclusiveness and participation for all. All matches will be supervised by an instructor to provide feedback on game play.

On Friday, all of the campers will participate in a Racketlon, a fun, day-long competition where everyone will get a chance to showcase their improved racquets skills while challenging their peers to claim the Racketlon title!

5 Days: $375 for Members | $420 for Non-Members

COVID-19 Info: We successfully ran Camp in 2020 without any COVID-19 incidents impacting the program. We are experienced at managing through the uncertainty and regulations. We have an FAQ for Parents seeking information about some of our precautions. We also encourage you to read the COVID-19 Checklist as you will have to attest to your risk and symptom factors each day at drop-off.

Capacity Constraints: Due to COVID-19, we are constantly evaluating capacity. In the chance we find we've hit capacity or have to manage around a new regulation, we will be required to cancel (and refund) or move weeks for any given camper. We will notify as promptly as possible in such a case.

Cancellation Policy: Parents may be uneasy about signing up for camps due to uncertainty around COVID-19.  If you choose to cancel for any reason by 2 weeks prior to any given camp week, you will be entitled to a full refund. Accordingly, our cancellation policy is that we will provide a full refund if the whole week of camp is cancelled before a camp week starts. Agawam reserves the right to cancel single camp days or partial days with no notice if a COVID-19 exposure occurs, or with one day advance notice if rain forecast will require us to remain inside for most of the day.
